What’s the difference between driver-only and driver-guide?
Driver-only = transportation, timing and on-site orientation so you can explore independently (self-guided). Driver-guide = same comfort plus guiding and commentary all day.
Can the driver come inside the Abbey with us?
The driver will not come with you inside the Abbey as he is not allowed to give commentaries inside the building. Only licensed tour guide are allowed to speak inside the monument. You can always add the audiopad option when you book your entrance tickets to the Abbey.
With the driver-guide option, you receive guiding during the day; inside the Abbey you’ll get clear orientation and tips to make the most of your visit.
Do we need Abbey tickets in advance?

The four of us enjoyed our private tour with Belinda very much. She arrived punctually to our port in a clean Mercedes van. She was pleasantly interactive with us and very knowledgeable of the history and area of Mont St Michelle. Somehow she was able to get us a table without a reservation at a very popular restaurant, which we enjoyed. Such a nicer experience than being toured in a group of 25 or more from the cruise company. A big thank you to Belinda.
